Will Smith Lost At The Oscars, While Chris Rock Won.
Do you Agree??
Well, of course everybody is talking about the Will Smith “Slap” felt around the world. In my opinion, Will Smith’s feelings for [Jada], is what swayed his decision to walk on stage and humilate himself publicly. Anger often instills confidence, whilst simultaneously clouding one’s judgement. Sometimes in the heat of the moment, you can become temporarily misguided by your own emotions, which can dampen your mental state, resulting in an irrational outcome.
I’m not taking sides here. Chris Rock is a comedian and comedians make jokes about people. Was he aware that Jada Pinkett Smith was battling alopecia? I’m not sure, but either way , the G.I Jane joke was (harsh/funny) and people laughed. Even Will laughed.
So, in the act of trying to defend his wife's illness, Will Smith inadvertently brung more attention to the G.I Jane Joke by attacking Chris rock on stage. Now, no one will ever forget the joke or Will’s actions, which ended up overshadowing his own Oscar win.
It was reported that Chris Rock’s “Ego Death” comedy tour tickets are already selling out, even though his first live show isn’t until April 2nd in New Jersey. As everybody eagerly awaits his response to his brief encounter with Will’s Palm, there is still no word on whether or not the academy will…
